A potential client that I recently met had $80,000 in a CD getting a 4% rate of return. I had remembered what Marty had told us about CD’s getting 16% in 1981, but now getting 4% , so I told the client those numbers and had asked him if he would take a job that had that pay decrease especially not being able to purchase what you could back then. He responded no so I asked him why he would let his money take that job? He said as soon as the CD matures, he is handing the money over to me to manage.
